These are pictures of two lakeside cottages renovated by Maine Coast Construction. Major renovations were originally done by Maine Coast in the 1990s. Now Maine Coast is back to add windows and a fireplace to the cozy guest cottage. Although these photos were taken just last week, the lush green of the evergreens surrounding these lake houses give the impression that it is late spring.
One of two Megunticook lakeside cottages that have been renovated by Maine Coast Construction.
The space formerly occupied by a massive stone fireplace now boasts newly installed windows (currently covered by protective plastic) that look over the lake. Other renovations will include a new “zero clearance” wood burning fireplace with faux stone finish and rustic built-in entertainment center.
A log construction look was created on the interior by using rough-sawn planking with actual log cabin chinking material carefully applied between the planks.

A nice place to sit and watch the water.
