Project Management
✓ MAINE COAST CONSTRUCTION utilizes experienced project professionals who will provide management for commercial, residential, and industrial projects.
The Project Manager oversees the entire lifecycle of one or more projects from start up to final handoff ensuring the job is completed on time within budget and in accordance with safety and quality standards.
Core Responsibilities:
✓ Project Planning & Scheduling
- Understand our obligations as defined in the Contract.
- Comprehend all project documents.
- Create an anticipated project schedule keeping this updated as the project evolves and changes.
- Use the schedule to flag times for pre-ordering material as needed.
- Respond to job site urgent situations as needed.
- Balance time in the office with presence at job sites as required.
✓ Cost Control
- Prepare estimates as required.
- Manage the project budget.
- Understand and track “allowance” costs and communicate to the customer.
- Create and issue written change orders.
✓ Compliance
- Understand our various safety obligations under OSHA
- Ensure a safe job site per OSHA.
- Understand and oversee our code obligations under the IRC, IBC and Life Safety.
✓ Communication
- Function as the primary point of contact between customers, architects, engineers, site workers and subcontractors.
- Create a regular sequence of team meetings such as weekly onsite or remote meetings.
